I have heard of it, yes! The concept was pretty neat.

To answer your questions:

1. False - as I mentioned, the original text had said 12 hours from the time from the time of posting each respective log. After the investigation stagnated, and went over with several clues still not found, I added in a hard deadline with the added explanations of what would happen if the deadline was missed in the main rounds for each respective part.

The minimal participation requirement section, though, wasn't changed.

2. True.

3. True, unless the unanimous/majority vote was for the wrong culprit. Then everyone except the culprit is executed regardless of who they voted for.

4. True.

5. True and false. True, if the vote went for the correct culprit; there would be no effect. It can still affect the final ending of the game, though, and lock the round out of a good ending. A mechanic of that sort is something that's been a part of most of the murdergames I've either been a part of or watched and in terms of this game has not been changed since the FAQs were first written.

False, if the vote went for the incorrect culprit; then everyone except the culprit would be executed regardless of who they voted for.
