Yup! It's time for endgame! The Final Week has already been put up, while the Final Investigation will be put up on Thursday! Like with normal Investigations, it will close on Friday at midnight EST, or earlier if all the clues have been found beforehand, with the Final Trial going up, at the earliest, this Friday at 12 PM EST and at the latest, this Saturday at 2PM EST!

To make things a little bit easier, we will be splitting characters into two groups:

TEAM A
McBurn
Caleb
Ris
Mithos

TEAM B
RGB
King
Towa
Minato
Charlotte

Team A will be investigating Areas 1-4, while Team B will be investigating Areas 5-8.

However, in order for players to get the best possible ending, all living characters must participate in BOTH the Investigation and Trial, and certain character actions will matter in determining the ending you get. Currently, characters are capable of getting a good ending, a neutral ending, and a bad ending.

Players may continue to thread investigations from Weeks 1-4 and uncover any clues they may have not found yet, to do any remaining Deep Cuts, and trade in relevant threads in the Baggage Claim until Thursday, when the Final Investigation is posted. The Bazaar Trade, meanwhile, will close on Monday at noon, so players will not be able to trade in or upgrade items after that for Week 4 items, so please keep that all in mind if you plan on doing so!

All players with characters still living must also respond to this post so we know they have read this post!
We are also adding Activity Check here, which, for all players, is a check-in!

Thank you and we'll see you in the Final Week post!

It's time for weekly AC! Please present proof of 20 comments total from your character and proof of Inquisition participation, either in the Investigation or Trial, here!

Remember, threads used for AC must have a minimum of five comments from your character, and a minimum of two threads and a maximum of four threads may be used for AC! Private conversations may be used, but will only count for half of AC, or 10 comments maximum.

There is no minimum comment requirement for the Inquisition proof, and can be from either the Investigation or the Trial posts.

Week 3 AC must be turned in no later than Sunday, August 11th at 11:59pm EST. Comments are screened. Thank you, and good luck!

Hey everyone! Ni here. We have some pretty big announcements to make regarding the game, and it's future.

The first and biggest one is that we are moving forward with Round 5. In fact, it will be in July! Reserves will open Saturday, July 6th, and the game proper will open on Monday, July 15th! The Modified TDM and all of the pages relevant to the round will also be open in the last week of June, so everyone can prepare for what is to come!

We also have another, big announcement. Unfortunately, Des has decided to step down from the moderator team, due to RL making it increasingly difficult for her to continue on as a moderator (and absolutely not because one of our new mods challenged her to a duel and Des ended up impaled in the fracas). Lita and I have always treasured her as an essential member of the team, and I for one cannot begin to emphasize how amazing she is, and how lucky any mod team would be to have her with them! She will be staying with us as a player, and even as we say farewell to her, we are happy to say that she won't be disappearing anytime soon!

And, yes, we have two new mods-Kay and RJ! Give these guys around of applause (after you have trembled in fear and worry as to which one of them managed to impale Des in a fair fight)-they have already been a great deal of help as we prepare the next two rounds for everyone to play and enjoy! And yes-we have been looking at the HMD, and there will definitely be some changes to future rounds based on what you, the players, have given us.

With that said, enjoy your June-and we will see you on Monday, June 24th for the unveiling of Round 5!

Hey everyone! It's time for HMD!

This round has been amazing, because of you, the players. We are incredibly happy that we have such a great player base, who managed to help make amazing what was, we will more than readily admit, a difficult round for the moderators. Between the loss of a long-time moderator, real-life issues, and new mechanics that were tried out for the very first time in this round, we definitely made mistakes, and we are definitely looking at ways to improve the game from here on out, and welcome any and all feedback that can be given by you.

You guys have always been incredible, and this round is no exception. The players are what make this game what it is, and we hope that we can continue to help that still be the case in the future!

The graveyard remains open for R4, and players are allowed to continue to thread into posts and the Epilogue in the meantime. Likewise, dead players may continue to play in the graveyard the entire time between rounds.

However, we have determined that in order for the game to continue, we will need new mods. Please check out this post for the applications! They will remain open for two weeks, after which we will discuss the date availability among the members of our new team. If we are unable to recruit, we may be looking at delays or even cancellations of the future rounds, in which case we will free the graveyard IC to avoid unfair waits. Please be patient with us while we undergo these necessary growing pains, and we hope you will join us again whether as players or as mods!

Howdy friends, fiends and strangers! As you know, mods often come and go, and now, the time has come to elect a new member to the team. We love 15 Strangers and are committed to giving our players the best experience possible. Running a murder game requires a lot of hands, though, and after R4 we have determined that there are significant gaps to fill. So, if you meet our criteria and would like to see the game continue, we hope to receive your application!

The particular traits we are hoping to see in a mod are consistent weekly availability to keep up with IC and play NPCs as needed, as well as a willingness to pick up new canons due to the round themes our games always have. They would also need to be able to help us write clues in the downtime between rounds so they can be finished before the round starts, and might be needed to write up posts and communicate with players OOC as needed. Helping players with casework would be optional but appreciated. No experience is needed, but if you have any we will keep it in mind. As for the specific role you would play as a mod, we tend to be flexible and would try to put you where you want to be. Feel free to tell us in the application if there is anything specific you want to do, such as running the dead community or playing a major NPC in the main game.

If you are interested in applying, please provide us with the following information.

Name/Contact: Discord is strongly preferred as a means of contact, but plurk is also useful, so feel free to include it.

Timezone/Availability:

Skills & Experience: example prior game modded, coding, whatever seems helpful. Previous experience is not necessary to join but it helps!

Desired mod roles: examples graveyard mod, host NPC, event runner, etc

We will be accepting mod applications from today until the end of Sunday, Jun 9th, 2019. Thank you, and good luck!

Hey, everyone! Ni here.

It's a little late, but after considering the poll results and feedback, we have decided not to add a NSFW/adult channel to the Discord. At the present, the group is evenly split, and ultimately, it wouldn't make sense to add a channel of this kind to the server when we don't have a majority of people who would support having it. So, for now, we will keep the server as is.

Thank you for your input, and we hope you're all enjoying the game so far!

Hey, everyone! Ni here. We're posting again so soon because we have an important post to make that will have an effect on future rounds.

Unfortunately, it's with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Mandy, on top of having to drop from the round as a player, has had to step down from her position on the mod team, effective immediately, due to unforeseen circumstances that were beyond anyone's control. We are sad to see her go from the team, as she's been with us since Round 1, and has been nothing but helpful in her efforts to develop our rounds and our game in general. We wish her luck, and we hope she can come back to us one day as a player in a future round!

As a result, we will be down to three mods, at least for Round 4: myself, Des and Lita. Having three moderators will not be a problem for this round, thankfully, as we did Round 3 with three, but we definitely don't want to have it as the status quo from here on out, either. So, once Round 4 is over, we will open up a search for a fourth moderator who would be willing to not only be a part of the team for Rounds 5 and 6, but for any future rounds we may have after that.

In the meantime, myself, Des, and Lita will make sure that Round 4 is a terrible experience for the 15 strangers what have ended up in the Mansion - and a great experience for the players.

Hello everyone! We're a few days before the official round start, and we just wanted to open up the floor to you, the players, regarding the game's Discord server!

We've had questions about our Discord chat, namely regarding the lack of a NSFW channel on Discord, for more adult jokes and conversations. So, we would like to give an opportunity for our players, current and past, to share their opinions for and against the inclusion of mature content in the public discord. Keep in mind that if a channel ultimately is made, players will still need to observe the standards of conduct according to our OoC rules! The poll will close Tuesday, so get your votes in!

Poll #21852 The 15 Strangers' NSFW Poll
Open to: Registered Users, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 12

Should we have a NSFW channel for adult/sexual content in the 15 Strangers Discord channel?

HMD: MOCK WEEK 2

Hey everyone - it's time for another HMD!

We are amazed and humbled by how much everyone enjoyed this mock week, and we are so happy with how this Mock Week turned out, especially so close to Christmas! Of course, there is always room for improvement, and while we've certainly gotten a few ideas for how to improve for future rounds, we are always keen to hear from you, the players! You guys are what made this game what it is, and continue to do so, and your suggestions have always been nothing but incredible and helpful.

We thus encourage our players to let us know how we're doing and what we can do even better, and any players who'd like to ask for feedback on their performance can also post here for fellow players to see!

Now to the announcement: round 4-6 are going to be back-to-back! Starting on April 14, 2019, reserves for Round 4 will open, with the game proper opening April 21st! From there, we will be doing Rounds 5 in the summer of 2019 and 6 in the fall of 2019. All three rounds will be self-contained, but they will also be building towards an overarching meta plot that will find a few changes in how things happen in 15 Strangers. For example - characters who die will not be automatically revived after each round Instead, they will be sharing a graveyard throughout!

Everything will culminate in round 6, because it will be a...wait for it...

In the meantime, mock week 2 has ended, but players are encouraged to backtag as much as they wish! And with that, we will see you in April for Round 4 - where the end is the beginning, it is the beginning of the end, and most of all, new worlds await for 15 strangers...
