15 STRANGERS ROUND 7 TEST DRIVE
TEST DRIVE ![]() 1. ARRIVAL It's time to wake up in your berth on this not-so-fantastic voyage. Why are you here? What happened to your powers? Memories? Who are these other people that've also been abducted? And...what is that smell?... 2. POWER It turns out you have been...'gifted' a power. It's not something you asked for, but you've got it now. It might be best to figure out how they work. Or don't. It's up to you. From chaos comes order, after all! 3. HOME Well, may as well make yourself comfortable for the foreseeable future on this ship. It's not like Zero is letting you go anywhere they don't want you to go. But perhaps you can find something that can help you get out of this situation! Or...maybe you want to give up and just drink in the lounge. That's an option too! Either way, you and your fellow Strangers won't be bored, at least? 4. MINIGAME Apparently Zero has decided you're not entertaining enough on your own, so now you're being tasked with playing in this game. And why not? You're technically on a cruise ship, so why not have some games? You could put some effort into the game, or maybe you're just done with this [BLEEP] by now-it's your choice on what to do. 5. MOTIVE You knew this was coming. Zero has decided they've waited long enough to see some bloodshed, and have released a motive to incentivize you into killing someone else. How are you feeling about it? What motive has Zero come up with? And...are you thinking about doing it...? 6. DEATH It's happened. One of your number has passed on-killed by another Stranger left in your group. There they lay, clear as day. It's officially time to investigate. How will you do so? Look over the body? Look around the room for evidence? Find a room that you believe is suspicious and search there? Or maybe you aren't up for investigating and would rather mourn your loss or pass out. It's up to you. 7. TRIAL It's time to focus-either you solve this case, condemning someone to death for the murder they committed, or you vote incorrectly, executing an innocent person. You've got a limited time to figure out what happened, and if you get it wrong, everyone dies. Take a deep breath, look at the evidence, and do your best to nail down the guilty party before its too late! 8. GUILTY ...Oh. It turns out you were the one responsible for what happened-you are the murderer! Why did you do it? Was it the motive? Was it something else? Are you sorry? Or was everything that has happened between you and the survivors a means to an end? Now is the time to confess everything-you're not likely to get another chance before you're executed! 9. WILDCARD Have an idea that wasn't mentioned above? Do it! Go crazy! |
Anya | Anya's Ghost
[You know those days where it feel like everything is going wrong and nothing good will happen?
Yeah, imagine having one of those days, then you wake up on a ship, with no memory of how you got there. Oh, and also you're a teenager and you're generally stressed out on a regular basis thanks to hormones.
Needless to say, when the door to her room opens and she comes running out, Anya is looking very nervous.]
What...what the Hell is going on?!
2. Power
[And just when you think it can't get any worse?
She just. Starts floating? Like there's no gravity??? And judging by the look on her face she doesn't know how she's doing this?????
Help???????]
5. Motive
[Finally - finally - Anya feels at her element. Something stupid was said, and she must point it out.]
Ah, yes. One million dollars. That is what it will take for me to end a human life. Because I'm a spoiled member of the one percent who can't wait for daddy to kick the bucket and give me my unearned inheritance.
[Finally something feels normal.]
6. Death
[Aaaaaaand just when she gets to revel in that normality, this happens.
Anya is the one to find the corpse.
Covered in stab wounds and laying in a puddle of their own blood.
And for a moment. It's just staring. Because how the Hell is she supposed to rea-]

[Yeah, there's this guy. Wandering around, his nose crinkling as he tries to sniff out the origin of the smell
and failing. He looks like he just tumbled out of bed. His hair's a mess. Why are there no combs on this shiiiiiiiiiip-]Um-excuse me, I hope I'm not being rude, but...do you know where that smell is coming from?
[He's nervous enough that his accent slips a bit.
Uuuuuuuugh, he hates when that happens.][Home]
[Well, you'll probably find Zack in the Rec Room, staring at the video game system or the books. He looks...conflicted? Maybe you can help.]

What's with that expression for?
[He glances at the game system. Oh, hey, he had one of those! Grandpa got it for him for Christmas! Good times. Not that he's a big gamer, or anything, but he's not sure of the conflict here...]

[Makima is standing in front of a shelf in the pantry, poring through the wide variety of teas. In turn, tea is one of the wide variety of goods that are available. It looks like her legs haven't worn out at all, that she could spend hours looking over everything and never get bored or frustrated. When your character comes in (or perhaps speaks up if they've been chilling in another section of the pantry doing their own thing), Makima's posture blossoms like a flower as she addresses them in her incredibly even voice.]
I hope I'm not in your way. I think everyone should seriously consider finding out what tea agrees with them. We've been here for a few days now. The lack of windows might have quite an effect on us.
Motive
[You know what Zero would do for the hostage motive? Dolls. They're in a large display case. Makima walks towards them with a slow gait and dull expression. She picks one out that has a white shirt, black tie, and black pants, much like her own. Staring down ponderously, she meticulously undoes the tiny buttons and tugs a... ripcord? On its chest? And something like this happens.]
Vroom. Vroom, vroom. ["Likes: Chainsaw Man." The resounding flatness of her voice suggests that she is not taking kindly to this display.]

[Boat creaking, blood in the air, sterile bunks, snoring below. Awareness that he has been kidnapped jolts him up the instant that Yoshikage Kira's eyes open to the cabin room. He's lived in Morioh his whole life and doesn't like to travel, and he had his sights set on remaining as he always had - even with the frequency they pull into his peaceful little coastal town, actually taking a ship is out of the question. After that spike of anxiety though, he takes a deep breath to calm down. Get a grip. He can even see a convenient flash card with an explanation. Centering himself as he reads about the legacy of the Gigantic, he manages to settle into a surface-level calm. The matter of the game is eyeroll-worthy, but there's some pretty interesting stuff in here...]
So, I've woken up in the future, is that it? [He mutters and moves on to contemplating his rather advanced watch in this light.]
exploring;
[Kira takes to moving about the ship in a rather methodical way and can be run into in most areas. At first he is of course looking for the source of the stench, but he'll run into complications that prove distracting. Any doors that are opened with the watch will be met with confusion at first - it just doesn't occur to him to use it that way. He is from the nineties and marvels openly at any huge technological advancements that he finds. Most notable of this though is that as soon as he finds the kitchen he gets a relieved look and then just strolls in like he owns the place. Finally, he felt behind his routine and a good meal is exactly what he needs to get him through the rest of this weirdly directionless trial. So for a few minutes he's just going to be making an egg scramble that is quick but smells very delicious. Out of habit, he will even make enough for two or three people. Perhaps he's a family man...]
power;
[It's later in the week. By now the inherent awareness of his new power "The Component" has kicked in, and as a proactive type of person of course he has gone out of his way to test it out at least once. He's at the incinerator with his spare t-shirt on, and after doing some warm-up stretches, he focuses on its activation... for that moment, an extra pair of arms grows out from his abdomen, and he leans back to do this pose with all four spreading out. But a few minutes the extra pair drops off, and he straightens anticlimactically, looking down at his arms on the ground.]
I have to say, this is leaving me rather cold.
[He's talking to himself, but it's just not the same when it's his own..... Now he's crouching down with an expression of mild disgust to pick them up and feed them into the incinerator. At least watching them turn to ash is somewhat cathartic. He's taken out a handkerchief to wipe with while he does so.]
death;
[Kira is the first to discover this body. It's in the bathroom and in classic fashion, someone has done an entire occult thing to it with candles everywhere and a salt circle. The edge. He closes the door again and then pinches the bridge of his nose for a moment of irate silence.]

Kaito Momota | Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
[Kaito walks out of his room, more or less to begin with looking like he's still in a bit of a haze. He was about to die, he was about to perish and go out with a bang, he was--blood, there was so much blood, and he was coughing, and he saw space and how beautiful and infinite it was and then...
And then he was here. He blinked his eyes - once, twice - slowly, slowly - and then he kept walking, not saying a word. He wasn't dead. Not yet. He had ghosts clinging to his back, reminding him that it could be time, but...no.
And then he ran into someone.]
...Sorry.
[He mumbled, still a bit out of it.]
2. Power
[The power that Kaito has found out to be able to have is something that seems wholly unintuitive at first. He walks around with an arm that looks...a bit different from the rest of his body for a while. The muscle mass isn't the same. It's smaller. And then a bit later, he enters the bathroom...and out walks an entirely different boy.
Kaito doesn't seem to notice at first, but then he heads to the pantry...and he's shorter now. He's bouncing on his feet.]
God DAMMIT! Why is it up so high? Coulda sworn I put it where I could reach earlier!
[That is, however, very distinctly Kaito's voice.]
6. Death
[Kaito finds the body in the lounge room, propped up in a chair. For a minute, he doesn't even realize the body is dead. He gives what he thinks is his friend a little nod, and then he realizes they haven't responded back.]
...Hey, what's wrong? You...
[And then he notices, just faintly, their skin changing color.]
... Fuck. NO!!!!
7. Trial
[They're in the middle of a trial, and Kaito is barely holding back his anger. Why did this have to happen?! Why couldn't they have just all teamed up, took down the mastermind--why does this ALWAYS have to happen?!]
Alright! ALIBIS! Did we get any alibis?!
1
He'd left a room with the intent to go check something else out when someone ran into him and he blinked a couple times, concern soon falling across his features. ]
Oh dear. Are you alright?

Hermes v1 | Fortuna
[It's one of those days. You know the one. Where you just wake up and can just TELL. And the first sign this time? This strange robot just accidentally runs into you, causing both of you to tumble. Now that you and the robot are basically a tangled pretzel of people, the face on its screen looks very confused.]
What in the Underworld...? I'm not supposed to have momentum applied to me all the time...
3. Home
[Hermes seems to be drawing on a large, blank sheet of paper. More specifically, he seems to be drawing groups of two people together, with a few of the pairs scratched out. Right now, he's just staring at an image of himself and appears to be contemplating just who to draw next to him.]
6. Death
[The speakers had just notified everyone of the body you found. A handful of seconds later, Hermes comes bursting into the door and takes one glance at the body before the face on his screen frowns disappointedly.]
Aww, man... I didn't get to watch it happen...
8. Guilty
[Hermes tried. He tried his absolute best to get away with the murder of Hiro Nakamura. But hour by hour, everyone slowly whittled away all the red herrings until nothing was left except for evidence pointing at Hermes. Speaking of, he looks absolutely dirtressed and is nearly dancing in place, his "earwings" sagging.]

Kalim Al-Asim | Twisted Wonderland
[Kalim is no stranger to pleasure cruises, being a pampered rich boy, but this is something else entirely. He’s surmised he’s on a ship, at the very least, after tottering about his room and reading the card on the wall. And there’s a bunk bed! That seems fun, even though he doesn’t remember why he’s here or who he must have come with. Should he hurry to claim the top bunk, or...?
Outside his room, there are people. No one looks familiar, at least not at first glance, but it hurts his head to think too much about that. The smell of the ship isn’t helping, either: pungent, metallic.
But it doesn’t matter that everyone here is a stranger; that just means he has a lot of introductions to make. New friends! He slinks up to the nearest co-passenger, sucks in a breath, and excitably introduces himself.]
I’m Kalim! Who are you?! This is weird, right?
[He laughs, more to be friendly and less because it is, in fact, a very strange situation he’s found himself in.]
2. Home
[So Kalim will have to kill to get home. He’ll have to hurt others. No. It’s a joke, right? It has to be a joke.
His mind wanders. He walks through the ship, aimless. Not looking for an exit, exactly, but just... some sign, some proof that all is not what it seems.
Kalim trudges up the stairs, and finding the kitchen has him speeding on over, the pep back in his step. Surely they wouldn’t have such a well-stocked kitchen if they’re really meant to murder each other! He sifts through the pantry, making a bit of a mess in his search. They can have a feast! That’s sure to help boost morale, right? He isn’t terrible at cooking, but his best friend has been the only one to cook for him for a long time. When Kalim makes food, he tends to make his serving sizes far too big, and he might add too many ingredients together in an attempt to improve the flavor. Because more is more! Cooking is hard.]
Nobody will try to poison me here!
[Kalim says this with certainty. He’s been poisoned numerous times back at home due to his status as the heir to a wealthy merchant family, but this time will be different, especially if he’s the one cooking.]
3. Trial
[Kalim sucks in a breath. Arms wrapped around himself for comfort, to help stop the shaking. It doesn’t work.]
It must have been an accident!
[No one would have chosen to kill another person, after all. And, well, maybe the dead person just happened to fall on that large knife protruding from their back. Very reasonable! Kalim could have easily made such a blunder.
But, no: if Kalim keeps thinking like this, he’ll never get to go home, never see his friends and family again. He has to think. Think.]
Maybe it was murder...?
[There! He’s on his way already.]
…But maybe it wasn’t!
[Kalim has a long way to go.]

She's also wearing purple cult-ass looking robes, so uh. ]
...when we kill whoever rounded us up here, I call dibs on their throat.
Death
[ The bloody remains of a decapitated and dismembered Homer Simpson lay spattered all over the floors and walls of the bathroom. And while I, the mun, am going to spare y'all the bloody details of this sordid scene, I make no such concessions when describing Val. Who is sipping blood out of his severed head as everyone else arrives.

Joseph Joestar | Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Battle Tendency)
[So here's this 6'5 giant of a man wandering about D Deck, looking pretty confused and frustrated. As soon as he sees someone, he waves at them and talks in a English accent. He's talking fast, wanting to get a grip on this situation as quickly as possible.]
Hey there, the name's Jojo. Maybe you can tell me - This ship wouldn't happen to be going to Switzerland, would it? Although I have a feeling the answer is no.
Minigame ★
[This week's minigame is a quiz involving the meaning of optical illusion pictures, and something to do with the origin of the morphogenetic field theory but whatever...]
Sheldrake, Smelldrake! Didn't you know that mind games are my specialty? Bring it on!
[Joseph thumps a fist proudly against his chest. An image comes on the HD TV showing this.]
[He hasn't got a clue what it is.]
Ha ha, too easy! Let's hear what everyone else has to say, that would be a lot more interesting.
Trial ★
So do we want to get the strip search out of the way? I can do it.

Idia Shroud | Twisted Wonderland
[Idia wakes up in a bed that's not his, in a room that's not his, and there are people around. He can already feel himself starting to sweat (ugh), the blue flames of his hair snapping and spitting sparks in his anxiety. Maybe if he moves quietly enough, he can tuck his tall, lanky frame into a dark corner and no one will notice him?
Who are all these people, and where's his brother??]
-----
2. Power
[Since when did he gain a Signature Spell other than his hereditary one? He's not really going to complain since it's pretty cool and suits him perfectly, but this is unexpected and weird.
Unexpected for him, weird for anyone else who sees him touching different appliances and small machines that might be around, which proceed to reconfigure themselves into other forms. So yes, that might be a flying toaster zooming past your head on little metal wings. Idia grins with a mouthful of shark-like teeth and his giggle is... rather unsettling.]
Whee hee hee... okay, that's pretty cool.
-----
5. Motive
[You have until Friday morning at midnight to kill one of your number, or I will reveal your deepest, darkest secrets to everyone here.
Idia immediately draws away from the group, huddling into a corner. He knows perfectly well what secret would be revealed about him. Other people knowing won't change the past, but it could definitely make him a potential target for the other Strangers' disgust and scorn. Being here with them is hard enough without them actively hating his guts.
He sits on the floor, drawing his legs up to his chest and resting his forehead on his knees, covering his head with both arms. He looks like he's trying to shield himself from something, and there's no mistaking his trembling for anything but profound anxiety.]
Motive
Green hues had caught sight of the young man with the oddly flaming hair drawing away to go sit in a corner. His brows knit into concern before he decided to walk over with confident strides, only stopping when he was a few feet away from the young man as not to scare him too much. ]
Idia! Given what has occurred, do you have a moment? I'd like to talk to you.
[ Because this poor, scared teenager surely would want to talk to him? Maybe? He liked to think he was approachable to others and here was no exception. ]

James Moriarty | Fate/Grand Order
namecity?"[The first thing that was surprising, oddly enough, was that he woke up. Not that he had been dead before this - no, it was the act of sleeping itself. Certainly, he could sleep, but a Heroic Spirit didn't need sleep - and in such a dangerous city, not sleeping was the better option.
And he was sure he hadn't fallen asleep when he'd ducked into that unused building! Reasonably sure!
...Then again, given all he knew of himself at the moment was that he was leftover of someone else with no True Name, perhaps he couldn't claim his memory was infallible.
The second thing he noticed was that the strength and power afforded to a Servant was, well, gone - which potentially meant he was currently incarnated in a human body. Getting whisked somewhere else during the chaos that was Shinjuku was...
Hm. Perhaps not all that unexpected, but still.
Well, nothing to it but to gather information! And hope that if anyone else was with him, they were much less volatile than the mages and gangs and homicidal puppets of the city.]
Pardon me, but I happen to have a question to ask you!
[Which is what led Archer to come over and give a very bright smile, almost acting like everyone were on a pleasure cruise instead of being kidnapped.]
Are you missing anything, perhaps?
[Hey, may as well ask (vaguely) if anyone else is in his boat if they're NOT violent now that he has the chance.]
3. Home - Alternatively - "Where the heart is, right?"
[Well, he knew his True Name now - Thanks to the Passenger Manifest and process of elimination, he was James Moriarty. Yet, despite that...something was still missing.
He knew his name now - but though the name conjured up some sort of feeling within him, it still felt as if he was awaiting something for his memory to be unlocked. Perhaps it was to see the 'other' James Moriarty that he knew deep down he was a part of?
...Well, regardless! One had to eat and drink as a human, and the majority of the crew currently seemed to be human - therefore, he would make food.
Which is how the aroma of frying fish and potato might have hit your character if they went near the kitchen - and if they follow it to the source, they'd find one 50-something old man cooking that quintessentially british fast food, fish and chips.]
Shame I couldn't find any newspaper, but I suppose letting them drip clean and placing them on plates will do for now.
[Though he'll quickly seem to notice anyone behind him, giving a wave.]
Ah - I didn't see you there. Fancy a bite?
[And then, without even changing his chippper tone, he adds:]
Or if you're planning to cook yourself, I'd caution you to read the labels carefully. Our captor seems to be quite intent on causing a more deadly form of food poisoning! Wahahahahaha!
[...Is that something to be laughing about??]
6. Death - Alternatively, "I've seen worse."
[Well.
Honestly, he should have suspected someone would eventually take the motive - and, all things considered, the corpse in front of him was a far better sight than some of the deaths one could run into in Shinjuku.
But the rest of the still living crew members might think this is a marked change from how he'd been acting earlier - the laughing, cheerful grandpa staring at a dead body with an almost chilling level of calm and even indifference.]
Such a pity, truly. And a grand mess on top of that.
[Still, it's only when they get the announcement about having to 'investigate' that he shows he's feeling something about the murder.]
...Wait, we're meant to be blasted Detectives?! This is an outrage!
[...Even if it is annoyance, and this is absolutely not the time, James????]
Home
Mass poisoning would be... impractical as a method for actually winning.
[Hubert also looks amused]
