When someone's murdered, something as small as a strand of hair can mean the difference between catching the guy responsible and never figuring out the truth. We use hair, saliva, fingerprints-

-blood, and DNA where I come from. Analyzing things that, if you're not careful, you can leave your own around and be mistaken for the culprit. Even if we can't measure all that stuff here, stuff like fingerprints can still be lifted and compared. Hairs can be preserved for later. That's what I mean.
[Speaking of, probably its an idea to check to see if there are any errant strands of hair that looked out of place on or around Margarita.]
