Round 2 Test Drive Meme

TEST DRIVE 1. ARRIVAL You're here, in the Mall. Wherever the Mall might be, right? And what happened to your powers? Your memories? Who else has been so unlucky as to be brought in with you? Also, why are the rules littered with emojis!? 2. POWER You have been, er, "blessed" with a power. Its not a power you want or care for, but its yours now. You might want to try an control it, lest you hurt someone else. That is...unless you want to. Just don't blow up any public property while you're at it! 3. HOME So now you live in a mall! All right! Modern conveniences galore! And hey, there's a cat cafe and a bar! Maybe living here forever won't be so bad. Unless you're looking for a way out, but surely, you wouldn't do that, right? 4. MINIGAME The Life Coach has decided to do 'games'. Those who win the games will get prizes, the Life Coach has promised. The Test Drive Meme's minigame: a costume contest! The best costume made in five hours wins! Work alone, or in teams - the Life Coach is ok with either~! 5. MOTIVE The Life Coach has announced the motive for the week. Clearly someone really wants to give you a reason to kill someone. How will you react? Will you stand against such an insult and help others to fight the temptation? Or perhaps, you yourself are tempted...? 6. DEATH One of your own has died - no, been killed. The Inquisition has started. The body lies before you, and now you must discern the truth from the clues before you. But can you when you mourn? Or, perhaps you don't mourn the dead. Perhaps you're only playing along because you know more than you let on. 7. TRIAL Well, it looks like the Life Coach wasn't kidding when they said there would be a trial. So now you're here, looking to condemn the responsible killer. If you do, they die. If you don't, you die. Whatever happens, you have to figure out what happened. Can you? 8. WILDCARD Anything not mentioned above. Go wild! |

Cesare Borgia || Cantarella ~Poison of Blue~
[ I. Arrival ]
[ This is not his beautiful bedroom
His beautiful rack of poisons are not here
His beautiful sister is nowhere to be found
What the absolute fuck.
He'll sit up and swing his legs over the bed, staring rather groggily at the small bedroom space. This is hardly befitting a noble. He'll grumble, and step out only to frown more because this... Doesn't look like anything in his world. Nothing in Rome. It's too advanced. ]
...Where am I?
[ III. Cats and Alcohol ]
[ No one said that Cesare Borgia was a social person. They also never said you couldn't grab alcohol and go hang out at the cat café, which is exactly what he's doing. He's grabbed the biggest bottle of vintage wine he could fine, inspected it to make sure there was no tampering, and then decided to sit here and let the cats pile on him while he drinks.
...He's generally in a rather miserable mood, because he very obviously doesn't know any of this technology at all and anyone around would have heard him earlier wondering, quite loudly, what a cell phone even is. ]
[ VI. Let the Bodies Hit the Floor ]
[ ...Of course. Someone's dead. He found them, here in the bridal center. Miss Margarita, who looked so eerily like his sister, had been strung up in place of a mannequin including the wedding dress. She looks almost peaceful, and that freaks him out the most.
He wishes he had more wine. ]
...I wonder if anyone will believe this isn't my work.
[ VIII. Wildcard ]
[ Any other scenarios are just fine, let's gooooo ]
VI
He'd been trying to get through to her. He almost thought he might have. She'd been around Claudia's age, and hearing her speak the way she did had been worrisome. But there had been hope among some of the group that maybe it wasn't too late to save her from an early death and an unhappy life.
Now, they would never know for sure.]
Damnit...
[Deep breaths. They would figure this out. They would figure out who did this to her and why. At Cesare's words, though, Fin can't help but look over at the other.]
Be pretty hard to refute it if the evidence points towards you.
[Which....they haven't even started investigating yet. And even if Cesare did do it, Fin doubts he'd save anyone the time and confess right then and there.]
no subject
[ He's still a Borgia, poisoning people is what he does. So he's going to just. Go up and at least take her down? And then wince as his nice, white gloves are soaked with blood because, yeah, she looks nice until you turn her around. ]
...Now do you believe it wasn't me? I'd never stab someone. There's plenty of things that can be used as poisons. Why would I lower myself to this?
no subject
[He grabs the nearest cloths he can find to protect the evidence from his fingerprints and rushes over to help grab the body.]
This is still a crime scene and you need to be careful!
[...That's right, Borgias were Dark Age or something like that. They wouldn't know any better about even the most basic modern forensics. Still.]
You're lucky you're wearing gloves.
Fin they don't have fingerprint kits I don't think
[ It's practically a snarl, he's got her. But he'll take a deep breath and calm himself. ]
...Sorry. She looks... Remarkably like my sister.
[ Going to just. Lay Margarita down. ]
But semper peratus!!!
[This just got. Really awkward. Nevertheless, he looks at the stab wounds as the body is laid down, then at Cesare's gloves. The fact his gloves got bloodied so easily...
Back to the wounds. Are they still wet in some manner?]
I just don't want to contaminate the...crime scene on accident is all.
['Crime scene'. Damnit, he had hoped no one would go for the motive.]
no subject
...Contaminate...? I'll never understand the modern world...

VI, honestly this is admittedly for my own amusement more than anything
O-oh! Y-you, s-stop!
[ She mutters a spell, and then... remembers that, oh right. She doesn't have her wand. ]
... W-wait. T-they're not... a-a-a-actually... a-are they?!
no subject
Does stringing a corpse up in a wedding dress really seem like my style?
[ WHY THIS ]
no subject
[ THIS IS SO NOT OKAY JESUS CHRIST GOD WHAT THE FUCK AHHH. She breathes. Just. Exhales. It's. Fine. This is. ... Fine... ]
I-I can't believe this is actually happening... I-I wish we could get the police or something... maybe a couple Witches to preserve some evidence... oh, if only I had my wand...
no subject
[ WHY IS THIS PLACE SO WEIRD, WHY DOES HE HAVE TO TOLERATE A WITCH, WHY ]
...I really do wish you would stop reminding me of that.
[ Ursula he's medieval. Ish. I don't know. HE'S OLD FROM WHEN WITCHES WERE BAD. ]
no subject
Now, I realize you might have a problem with my kind, but we need to work together. And I've studied my history, although, to be honest, I had really hoped that you just had a very unfortunate name... the Borgias weren't exactly a big magic family, so it was more... additional study into poisons to be fair, but, well... there's a student of mine that quite enjoys poisons.
Still, it doesn't look like the young lady was poisoned. ... O-obviously... oh, dear, I still cannot believe someone did this... how could anyone consider taking a life? Especially hers?

cat booze
Or at least, he is until it scrambles away when Cesare comes in, apparently more interested in the new person.]
no subject
...Oh. I didn't know anyone else was here.
no subject
It's as good a place to get shit-faced as any.
[He's honestly glad he's not the only one who had that idea.
Here, he'll even pour you a glass.]
no subject
...Please don't get offended, but I don't accept glasses from people. Can't be too careful where I'm from.
no subject
[He'll leave that glass there in case Cesare gets hit with mind control microbes or some shit and changes his mind, but he's not going to press the matter any further. ]
But if you ever want to try it yourself, it's over by [vague directions as to the location of the booze because it's 1 in the morning, fuck.] They've also got some sake that isn't half bad, and... judging by the looks of it, you've probably found the rest of the good shit already.
[He's just gonna. Lean over and scritch that kitty's ears before taking a sip of his own drink.]
If all I see is people for too long, I start feeling on edge. So I dunno what this thing is, but I'm glad it's here.
[He likes people well enough, but he's used to seeing people and Pokemon in equal amounts. Being somewhere with only people was starting to freak him out a little.
More importantly, does he seriously not know what a cat is?]
no subject
[ How has this guy not seen a cat??? What the fuck? But he is noting the whole. New alcohol thing, though he seems very perplexed. ]
(no subject)
I
[Says the guy in a red longcoat and pirate boots. The main way he could defend these clothes as relatively modern is the smooth synthetic material in a single layer. He's been leaning against the wall outside a bedroom (Is it worth it calling his own? Nah, it's just the one he came out of after waking up.) toying with the cell phone. With a snap of his wrist the phone is shut and goes in his coatpocket, while he steps forward extending his other hand to shake.]
Name's Dio.
I do not have a confused enough icon for this I'm so sorry
[ The hell is that? Also you are dressed very weird to him. Very weird. The fuck, Dio? ]
...Are you some kind of fool?
[ Jester. He means jester. Also, handshake...? Is this some sign of peace? Should he be worried about weapons??? ]
...Cesare Borgia, son of Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia.
no subject
[His smile is more like a flashing of teeth as he is this close to busting a blood vessel. Well, if he strangled someone within sixty seconds of leaving his bedroom, that would set a new record for an expedition going pear-shaped, and some uncomfortable questions would follow. He'll keep it together. For now.]
Charmed to meet you, Cesare. This Rodrigo Borgia must be a powerful dude, huh. Do you think this is kidnapping for ransom or something?
no subject
[ No, he seems to have legit been asking you a question. Quick, Dio, do you know what a fool actually is beyond being an insult. ]
...I mean, if it is, they weren't very wise. My family has a reputation. Most would avoid us with quite a wide path.
no subject
Well, it's not that wide a reputation. I'm afraid I've never heard of the Borgias! But I actually come from pretty far away, so, no offense.
Actually, when you put it that way, it's kind of weird that they'd go so far. Like maybe there's enough distance to keep your folks from sending in the cavalry, but then what the hell do they want to do instead?
no subject
[ ...How far from Rome is he that people don't know who he is. ]
My family is all well-known for our knowledge of poisons. Trying to kidnap a Borgia is asking for a slow and painful death.
